Tue. Jul 5th 2011 The time I spent at TSCFD was fun, but seein Tommy Graves around the firehouse always made it more enjoyable. To sit in Chief Nations office and hear them bicker at one another was a time i'll not soon forget. I hated to hear that after all those years of service to the department and citizens of Taylorsville/Spencer County Tommy wasn't reappointed. Tommy you made a huge impact on that department. You were always there to listen and if it needed be done. It got done. Have fun my friend. Thanks for the memories. - Chris King

Wed. Jun 10th 2009 I wanted to thank you for all your work and efforts on the morning of June 4th, 2009 when John Maradits was killed by another driver on Bardstown Road. Our family appreciates all the respondents, as we know there were many from several jurisdictions. My life, as well as the lives of my sons (John, 13, and Daniel, 11), John's extended family in Cleveland, John's friends throughout the United States, the Long Gray Line of West Point, and the entire company family at Tower Automotive were forever altered that morning. We lost a father, a friend, a son, brother, nephew and a great leader. Hundreds of people mourn his tragic death. God bless you all with strength and courage as you serve and protect. Sincerely, Lisa Maradits - Lisa Maradits
